John P. Shonerd, DO
Dr. Shonerd received his medical degree at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, in East Lansing, MI.
For the past 27 years, Dr. Shonerd has been an ongoing member of the board of directors of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of Oregon (OPSO). He also holds the distinction of being its board president twice.
Dr. Shonerd is an associate professor of Family Medicine at Western University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in California, and A.T. Still University, in Arizona. He also currently serves as Director of the Department of Medicine at Rogue Valley Medical Center. Dr. Shonerd is Board Certified by the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.
Dr. Shonerd is the recipient of the prestigious “Scotty” lifetime professional achievement award.
In his personal life Dr. Shonerd enjoys biking, skiing, and fly fishing. He hates golf but plays it anyway to make others (especially his sons) feel big and strong.
